MSI announces the E 3 PowerCube technology on FX5600 series VGA. MSI E 3 PowerCube technology re-defines the FX5600 series VGA with the innovative design to contribute the outstanding performance, while to save the electricity consuming and prolong the endurance of the components! Endurance of Components, Energy Saving and Enhanced Stability E3 PowerCubeTM is composed by two inductors respectively. People who had studied the electronics will know that if two inductors are too close, their magnetic fluxes will interfere with each other. It is almost impossible to measure the inductance. Nevertheless, MSI R&D engineers had worked out the problem, and made it into the most innovative design!

In short, MSI E3 PowerCube workflow follows the high-frequency rectangular pulse generated by the front MOS tube flows through the inductor, and combines with the back-end capacitor to produce a smooth voltage-regulated circuit.

This outputs low-interference and low-ripple power for the GPU. First of all, MSI E3 PowerCube could produce a high saturation current. A normal inductor can only have 4 to 8 amps of saturation current, but MSI E3 PowerCube can have up to 40 to 60A, almost 10 times higher. In other words, even under a high current condition, the E3 PowerCube can still operate normally!

It greatly reduces the heat generated by the two MOS tubes.

This E3 PowerCube is a customized component for the purpose of high power-consumption, and high-end MSI FX5600 VGA cards. The second advantage is its responding speed of generating a high-frequency signal for the front MOS tube. Because the MOS tube switches constantly between high voltage and 0 voltage signals, the highest frequency can reach a few hundreds KHz. MSI E3 PowerCube can respond to this high frequent signal very quickly. This improves the efficiency of voltage-regulated smoothing, and lowers the probability of the two MOS tubes to malfunction (connected) and to breakdown. Furthermore, the size of the ferrite core of the E3 PowerCube is fairly big and is not covered by a coil, making it cool down faster. Having a stable, low-heat and highly efficient E3 PowerCube helps MSI FX5600 VGA card to overclock without the concern the stability issue!
