How to Locate MSI Motherboard’s Serial Number

Serial numbers are located in various places on the motherboard itself. Serial numbers for MSI newer motherboards should be located on the reverse side of the motherboard, just like the image #1.

Both model number and serial number is located underneath the bar codes. On the left hand side of the bar code is the model number and on the right is the serial number.

If you have one of our older motherboards, which contain an ISA slot, then your serial number are located on the wall of the last ISA slot, just like the image #2. Notice how there is two bar codes on the older boards. Above the first bar code is the model number and above the second bar code is the serial number indicated as “S/N.”

Moreover, you must also submit the model number on your online RMA form to make your serial number complete.
